Clearances: Act 33 (Child Abuse) / Act 34 (Criminal History)

In accordance with Deer Lakes Softball Association Bi-Laws Article VII Section 1 anyone that Coaches or assists in Coaching must have Act 33 and Act 34 Clearances. The Association requires that all coaches and coaching staff submit each of their clearances (Act 33/Child Abuse, Act 34/Criminal History) before the softball season starts.
It is extremely imperative you follow these new guidelines, so that you do not face one or all of the following consequences:
  • All Clearances must be submitted BEFORE the season starts
  • Coaches and Coaching staff will not be permitted to coach without their Act 33 and Act 34 clearances.
  • Returning Coaches must have their Act 33 and Act 34 clearances in good standing or Coaching will not be permitted.
Clearances are required for the safety of our children, and also for the adults who interact with them. Different Assoications may have differing renewal policies; however, our policy must cover all possibilities. We understand that the need to renew each of the clearances every 2 years. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact the any of the board members. Thank you for your understanding and adherence to this matter.
